Our Story

As a sufferer of dermatitis and eczema myself I understand the frustration and embarrassment having skin conditions can bring and the importance of having sensitive products on hand.
I tried every medical treatment which usually consists of topical gels full of steroids and anti inflammatories along with courses of strong antibiotics. Although this works eventually it has a major negative effect on the body and the skin condition comes back over time.
So I decided to research alternative healthier ways to keep my skin at bay. I discovered this wonder plant Chickweed. And the benefits don't stop with the skin!

An Idea is Born

The discovery of this amazing plants benefits lead me to desperately wanting to try some products on myself. The only problem I found was i couldn't find any on the Australian market.

So lucky for you I decided to make them myself. I have been making my own products for a few years now and love the effects natural chemical free products have on the skin and body. You can feel good about using them and you do see the results.

A little bit about Chickweed

Chickweed is a little-known herb which has considerable nutritive value, vitamin and mineral-packed it has variety of medicinal and wellness uses. It has been used as a reliable herbal tonic for centuries to  improve overall health. It was mostly used by Native Americans for the treatment of respiratory problems such as bronchitis, whooping cough, colds, and a sore throat. Chickweed is said to be a great source of vitamin C, which has also made it valuable in treating scurvy, calcium, magnesium and potassium as well. Chickweed is said to be a healing herb that relieves pain and stimulates healing. It not only decreases pain, but also helps reduce swelling such as with torn ligaments. It can be used both internally and externally, and has been used throughout history to stop bleeding in the stomach and bowels. Chickweed extract is an excellent acne wash and has been used to help in the healing of sores, rashes, boils and burns. This herb is excellent for blood vessels and your circulatory system. Taken internally, it helps to purify the blood and carry out toxins, and has even been known to help with blood poisoning. It dissolves plaque in blood vessels, as well as dissolving fatty tumours and substances, then removing them from the body. Chickweed is also known to help with weight loss and actually works as an appetite suppressant. Modern herbalists use Chickweed tincture to treat joint pain, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rheumatism, gout, blood diseases, eye inflammations and haemorrhoids. Chickweed may aid in digestion and help reduce symptoms of bladder infections, indigestion, peptic and gastric ulcers. It also acts as a diuretic and a mild laxative that may help to relieve symptoms of constipation.

Product Benefits

*Chickweed Tinctures

Chickweed tincture is used for inflammation, conjunctivitis, asthma, bronchitis, and arthritis as well as weight control.

This weed’s young shoots are edible and taste like spinach to me. They are packed with nutrition like vitamin C and gamma-linolenic acid, which is great for healthy skin and hair.

Just add 15 to 20 drops to some orange juice and take it before you go to bed. It can also help you sleep!

*Chickweed teas
Acts as a Diuretic:  This means excess water in your body, along with toxins and chemicals, are flushed out automatically through your urine. So your urinary system, kidneys and urinary tract, are cleansed out.

Repairs Digestive Tract: For upset stomachs and digestion problems, a glass of this tea will cleanse your digestive tract and speed up your metabolism. It has a mild laxative effect on your body. But having too much of the tea, can cause diarrhea, so don't overdo it.

Relieves Respiratory Trouble: For a chest cough or an allergy reaction, a cup of hot chickweed tea is said to soothe the internally inflamed chest area. It is effective in easing asthmatic attacks and bronchial infections. Chickweed has a high content of vitamin C and so soothes away common cold and sore throat as well.

This herbal tea is completely natural; there are no chemicals or preservatives in it, just herbs and water. So unlike chemical diuretics, it will not flush out minerals and nutrients along with your urine.

*Topical Ointments, Salves & creams
Heals Wounds: Chickweed can be applied externally over skin wounds and injuries, as it has detoxifying, cleansing and anti-inflammatory effects. It is said to help heal abscesses, abrasions, non-serious burns, bruises, even acne, eczema and psoriasis. It’s mild astringent properties are even considered useful for drawing out splinters.
Different blends and combinations can help all different types of skin irritations and benefit to overall skin health.
